andrew hamptonAndrew Hampton started AshColl in 1984, initially in Blue House then he got the "upgrade" to Red House. He was thoroughly involved in athletics, and a member of the band "Barbed Wire" along with his mates Walt Friedel, Mark Hooper, Kevin Bishop and Roger Crowe.

Andrew was full of praise and loved his time at Ashburton College. Saying that "It was good to me." His most memorable moment, the 7th Form Prizegiving and being the recipient of the Fookes Memorial Trophy for Leadership, Scholarship and Sportsmanship. Speaking at Digby Prosser's farewell from AshColl another highlight.
