Continuing their stellar form on the greens, the siblings ensured it was nothing but the red of Waireka dominating at the the Windsor Richards Association Croquet handicap and Open Association Croquet Championships at Oamaru’s Awamoa Gardens.

Logan McCorkindale was a comprehensive winner in the Open Championship playing and pegging out six games and numerous triple peels.

The next best was Aorangi’s Graeme Simpson with four wins to his name.

Following in his brother’s footsteps was Reece at the Windsor Richards event, winning all of his games 26-0 in a period of about 45 minutes.

The Waireka youngster trumped hometown favourite Bob Wickenden, who had to settle for second.

McCorkindale won the Croquet New Zealand silver award, getting 12 hoops without a break, and will now represent South Canterbury at the New Zealand Windsor Richards finals.

The pair are in Nelson this week for the Croquet New Zealand South Island Association Croquet Championships doubles which begins today.

Logan will then stay on for the singles event.
