A four-match sweep in the doubles last week ensured interclub front-runners Team Wilson remain top dog.
Their doubles dominance was the difference in the end as Wilson completed their fourth straight interclub win over Team Head 8-4.
The team are unbeaten after four rounds of the open grade competition.
Team Babolat edged Team Yonex 7-5 in what was a competitive joust between the two outfits.
Making his return to tennis after a two year break following a back injury was Neil McCann, who moved around the court like he’d never been away.
Although he was overcome in the singles, he and Peter Leonard combined for Wilson in the doubles to beat Head pairing of Connor Brosnahan and Mike Kerr 6-1 4-6 1-0 (5).
It would be one-way traffic in the other three doubles meetings, as Gareth Evans and Nishitha Maarka, Mia Lui and Josh Gilbert, and Maggie Crosby and Isobel Brook all completed straight sets victories.
The teams were harder to separate on the singles court with honours split four wins apiece.
Brosnahan, Riley Breen, Jess Aldridge and Jake Parsons (by default) were winners for Team Head.
They were matched by Evans, Gilbert, Brook and Crosby for Wilson to round out the contest.
The circumstances were somewhat reversed in the other interclub clash, with Babolat’s 5-3 singles win the deciding factor.
Yonex’s Rhys Cromie dragged himself right back into the fight against Tyler Leonard during the second set.
It was not enough however as Leonard completed a 6-2 7-6 (7-4) win for Babolat.
Phil Crozier, Holly Jane Feutz, John Leslie and Angela Ciora added to the Babolat singles tally.
It was two wins apiece in the doubles with the showdown between Cromie and Kirwan and Ollie Bubb and Leonard the highlight on court.
Leonard and Bubb clinched a thrilling win 6-3 2-6 1-0 (10-7).
